How long does it take for my Diatom watch to complete its launch?Once you purchase a Diatom watch, you are setting in motion a remarkable space journey, taking about 7 weeks to complete. This time frame allows for the careful preparation and execution of the launch, ensuring a safe and assured venture into space. When your watch returns, the breath-taking video of its journey will undoubtedly affirm that the wait was worth it. You can read all of our terms and conditions here

Can I swim in my Blue Dot?The Blue Dot is designed with water resistance up to 10 ATM, suitable for everyday wear and splash-resistant activities. It is not classified as fully waterproof. This design choice is intentional to best preserve the unique, naturally forming meteorite inclusions used in each watch. Hermetically sealing the watches could potentially expose these meteorite elements to conditions that hasten corrosion or other subtle material degradation. To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your timepiece, we recommend not swimming or submerging your Blue Dot for prolonged periods.

Is the Apollo Command Module Real?Portions of our watch contain material from the lunar flown Apollo 11 Command Module "Columbia". This material came from the collection of O.W. Nasse, the safety recovery crew member from the Rockwell Space Division. The material was removed from the Command Module external conical heat shield after splashdown. On the Blue Dot watch, the material has been forged into a circular embellishment to connect you with the first NASA mission to land a man on the moon.
