DESCRIPTION

The Terra Meteorite – Lagoon pays homage to the golden era of spaceflight, with each watch containing genuine mission-flown material and launched on a journey to over 120,000 feet above the Earth.

This Gibeon meteorite watch is inspired by Planet Earth’s tropical shallows, with a face crafted from 4.5 billion year-old iron-nickel meteorite and enhanced with our most advanced colour technology yet. Offsetting the dial is a chapter ring forged from a proprietary alloy that combines titanium with authentic material recovered from the Apollo 11 Command Module.

The Terra Meteorite – Lagoon is powered by the Swiss precision of the Sellita SW200 movement, with every watch tested at the edge of space before making its way to your wrist.

Space tested

Swiss movement

At the heart of our watch is the Swiss Sellita SW200 movement, with each one thoroughly tested in the lab and in space to ensure it can withstand the rigours of those who seek the extraordinary.

Apollo 11 material

The Terra’s chapter ring is machined from a proprietary alloy containing authentic material from the Apollo 11 Command Module, providing a tangible connection to one of mankind’s greatest achievements.

Proprietary alloy

Our alloy is created through a controlled process of heat and pressure, the materials are fused at a microscopic level, creating a single, durable structure that preserves the historic significance of the original space-flown material.

Precision machined

Once the alloy has been formed into an ingot, it’s then hot-rolled into plates and quench hardened to imbue it with a high-strength microstructure. The plates are subsequently precision machined into chapter rings using state-of-the-art CNC equipment, with each component subject to strict quality control measures that ensure a perfect fit during the assembly process.

4.5 Billion years in the making

Meteorite

Each meteorite dial, unique in its pattern, represents a singular celestial journey. While our watches adhere to a design blueprint, the meteorite ensures each is unequivocally distinct. With every glance, you're not just measuring moments, but connecting with the timeless nature of the Universe.

Diatom Watches in space

Space Flown

Every Diatom Watch travels to over 120,000 feet above the Earth before making its way to your wrist and comes complete with high-definition footage of your watch floating against the blackness of space, the curvature of the Earth and the thin glowing line of its atmosphere.

Watchmaking

We fuse historic space artefacts with judiciously selected alloying agents to create never-before-seen materials, before using state-of-the-art CNC technologies to manufacture watch components that are imbued with the legacy of space travel’s golden era.

Authenticity

From Scanning Electron Microscopy to Energy Dispersive X-ray Spectroscopy, we go to extraordinary lengths to examine the elemental compositions of our rare materials, with a Certificate of Authenticity giving every owner peace of mind about the origin of their cosmic connection.
